  1. All that just means that you can't take more than 2 sciences the semester before the one you're applying to and you can't take any of the upper level science courses in the summer (A&P, Micro etc). At least that's what they had told me. I was going to apply to Spring 2018, and I could have because I only needed Physiology and microbiology to do that fall. But I didn't because of other reasons. They told me I could have done it since I had less than 2 sciences left. Had it been 3 sciences, they wouldn't have let me.
  2. Girl, ask me in a few weeks haha. Semester just got started so everything is really confusing right now. Just know it's a lot of busy work and it is VERY expensive. My advice for you would be to either have some money saved up by December or take out a loan. I spent $1300 on books and about $400-500 for uniforms and supplies (stethoscope, pen light etc). And I think the seat is about $100. Be ready to be broke for a while and have most of your time taken up by school work. The dress code is also confusing. It might vary day to day so just be ready for that.
  3. You should use both! I submitted multiple LOR because my academic reference went ghost on me for months so I decided to ask someone else. Turns out, they mailed the letter and the other reference did too. I had 4 letters total (2 professional, 2 academic). They won't really care if you have more than they ask for. Also, they could just put them in a sealed envelop for you and you could deliver whichever one you decide one.
  4. My GPA is 3.90 and my TEAS was 90. I have heard that the Teas is typically what they care about the most so try to get >90%.
  5. Oh wow I didn't get that email...
  6. Congrats!!! Which package did you get?
  7. Do you mind if I add you on FB?
  8. I'm definitely bookmarking this thread. I'm starting in the fall too!
  9. That is so expensive. You should look for something cheaper.
  10. Good luck!
  11. If it's really your dream, you should give it a shot!
  12. You're not a failure! It just wasn't for you!
  13. Congratulations on getting in!
  14. I think the most important part of the science portion is knowing anatomy. I had taken anatomy a couple of months before taking the teas and it really helped. It felt like review by the time I had to take the teas.
  15. No I didn't pay anything. Only thing I paid was the seat deposit but that was after I got accepted
  16. The last question I had was what is your weekly schedule?
  17. I can't send PMs yet
  18. Thank You!!!
  19. Got my acceptance letter today!
  20. Hey I have a few questions I hope you don't mind answering: 1. When did you get your acceptance letter? 2. When did you find out your schedule for your first semester? 3. Do you feel as if you have time ? To maybe work or have you time? 4. How much studying do you do in a week? Thank you
  21. Same! My stats are: Science GPA: 4.0 Overall GPA: 3.88 TEAS: 90% Volunteer Hours: 59 So I'm definitely slacking in the volunteer aspect but I hope I can make it up with my GPA and TEAS
  22. Hi I recently applied for Emory's ABSN program. My GPA is 3.88 I will have a bachelor in biology in the summer (2018) My teas score is 90, ranked in the 98th percentile. I have almost all my pre-reqs done except Microbiology (currently taking), Physiology and Human development (will take both spring 2018). With that in hand, I have a few questions and if anybody could answer them for me, that'd be fantastic. 1. What is the total cost of the program? 2. Can I still be considered for admission even if I am missing 3 pre-reqs? 3. Does the School attended matter for getting a job as an RN? 4. Even without my bachelors, am I a good candidate? 5. Could I also apply to the traditional BSN? Thank you in advance! Your responses will definitely help me settle my anxiety.
