  1. Hello, I know this thread is months old, but I was wondering if anyone could help me. I was offered a position on the med-surg unit on day shift. Does anyone have any insight on how the floor is? Management? How has it been as a new grad working for this hospital so far? I would greatly appreciate any insight you may have.
  2. Thinking of applying to their next cohort. Can someone tell me what the starting pay is for a new grad?
  3. I like the school everyone is very warm and friendly. I believe that all nursing schools are difficult from a theory standpoint. The clinical experience that you gain at county is where it’s different. We are able to do more things than other schools like chart assessments, start IVs, blood draws, IV push meds & Alaris pump medications. Basically the only thing we can’t do as a student is hang blood. There are some new grads on my clinical floor who are still learning to do things we already know. LOL sometimes we teach them.
  4. It’s very time consuming so just prepare to devote a lot of time to studying and assignments. It’s difficult at times but very doable if you put in the work. *application
  5. Hello, 4th semester county student here graduation is just a few months away for me. Congrats on getting started with the applicaiton process. I wish you much success.

  10. Hi, How's everyone doing while waiting for school to start? Has anyone purchased the ebook yet?
  11. I got the email and I'm in as well. We have until June 12th to let them know if we intend to enroll. I'm assuming that after the 12th they'll see how many more they can accept.
  12. Sorry you didnt get the email :0(. On a brighter note, they said alot more people decline their spots in the fall compared to the spring. So perhaps there's still a chance.
  13. Hey I just got a email about the point cut off. Did you guys get it?
  14. I hope you get in this time. What was the cut off the last time you applied?
  15. Congrats ladiesí ¼í¾Š That is so awesomeí ¼í¾Ší ¼í¾‰. Thanks for taking time to update us. Do you guys have any idea what the cut off is for the generic program this year?
  16. They told me the same thing. I guess we will just have to wait and trust that they calculated our points correctly.
  17. No news to report.... I haven't called. Have you called to confirm your point total?
  18. No, I haven't heard anything. Congrats on already being accepted.
