  1. What type of questions did they ask? I had a video interview with Montefiore for a nursing assistant position and one of the questions asked what’s my favorite season ?. It def threw me off!!!
  2. Do they give you all the questions in advance to prepare your answer?
  3. Hi all! I will be graduating in two weeks with my BSN (plan to take my NCLEX in about March) and applied to two new grad residency positions. For those that got a call back, how long did it take to get a response? I didn’t realize how competitive this program was but I’m hoping for the best!
  4. Hey, I received an email from the school with "further steps", regarding orientation as well. They email you with certain dates and times for advising and you email the academic program specialist with the date of your choice!
  5. I am going for advising this Thursday during the morning session. Hbu?
  6. Congrats! I'll be starting in the summer as well!
  7. They send an email with the dates. I received that email about a week after I received my acceptance letter.
  8. The accelerated (18 month program), begins in the summer. The individualized track (30 month program) does not have a summer start.
  9. Congrats! It took them about two weeks to email me with an acceptance, so they are certainly quicker than most schools with making an admissions decision. I will be attending for Summer 2018, beginning in June, but hope to see you around campus by the Fall!
  10. Hmm.. I'm not sure, they don't seem to have any information on their site. They are also very slow with updating application updates. I've already received a decision from Pace and an acceptance at CNR's program, so I gave up with even bothering with LIU. Their admissions program seems very disorganized and it's almost impossible to get a hold of anyone.
  11. Congrats to you as well!!! Is there a FB group for the Summer 2018 Cohort?? I think it's best to start making some study buddies from now LOL. I just registered today for the orientation and for the advisement day! I'm so excited but super nervous.
  12. Hi all! Just received an email with an acceptance for summer 2018! Although my status on my application hasn't changed, I'm super excited!! Any else going for summer 2018?
  13. Hey! To those that got accepted, would you mind sharing what grades you got in your pre reqs and gpa? My gpa is exactly 3.0 (when you average it from both institutions attended). And I received an A in A+P I, a B in A+P II, an A- in micro, a B in nutrition. They are still waiting to receive one transcript with all those grades on it. Im nervous and really want to get accepted! How long did it take for you guys to hear from them with a decision??
  14. Congrats to the status change!!! Thank you!! *Fingers crossed*
  15. That's perfect. I uploaded everything! Now just to sit and wait í ½í¸©.
  16. I am going to upload my personal statement this afternoon. Can recommendations be uploaded through there too? I know those are generally supposed to be confidential.
  17. Wow thank you so much! I didn't realize we could check the status. This is great! I'm still missing some items, but hopefully that'll update in a few days.
  18. I submitted my application to LIU in February. I have college algebra from way many years ago. But I never took General Bio, only A&P I / II and micro. Is there a way to check the application status?? Yes, I noticed it says you need the TEAS to progress to the professional stage on a completely different tab. It's just so confusing. I haven't taken my TEAS exam yet either. I'm nervous to!
  19. Hey! I thought I was the only one that noticed that LIU changed their site and requirements. I noticed that the TEAS exam is not listed on their site anymore. LIU's admission department though is a hassle to get through to. I meant to ask them if they still require the TEAS exam. Did you ever find out?? That's odd that Biology is a pre-req. I wonder if A+PI/II and Micro suffice for that bio requirement...
  20. I emailed their admissions department about the TEAS exam and they said the TEAS are only required for transfer students who have NOT earned a bachelor's degree yet. So, if you're applying to the accelerated program, no TEAS exam is required.
  21. Hey! I just applied as well for Summer 2018. The application process is certainly tricky, as they do not have much information on their site. When I applied, they emailed me saying I would receive an email within 48 HOURS with what steps I would need to take next. THEY NEVER EMAILED ME, even though I emailed them twice! I had to call and they said you have to send 1 letter of recommendation, a personal statement (topic of your choice), and transcripts from all schools attended. It's also all sent to their admissions processing center in Massachusetts. They FINALLY emailed me two weeks after I called, which was a MONTH after I applied. They did not even mention anything about the TEAS exam. Which, before I saw on their site that it was required, and now I don't even see anything at all about it. Hope this helps!
