  1. Hey guys, I was just accepted into Anderson psych MSN program starting in August. It's a 15 month program. I'm excited as I have heard a lot of great stuff about this program. If there are other ALUMNI'S that will like to share advice or resources about this program please feel free to do so. If you are also attending or starting in August feel free to comment on this post.
  2. Iziegbe and Stillthriving, Sorry I decided against this program. I joined the facebook group and realize the program is not for me. Most people in the program have complained so far about lack of support, and how the professors don't seem to care about their students. I actually got into Anderson University SC. It's an hybrid program and I will be attending that starting August. it's a 15 month program.
  3. Hey, I just applied last 2 weeks and I am waiting to hear back. I hope I get accepted. They say they want a 3.0 GPA but I do not know if they really mean that. You know how much schools require a 3.0 but their cutoff mark is actually a 3.8. I have a 3.75 GPA and have been working in psych for about 5 years with my pervious degree in public health but only have been working as a nurse for 6 months. I really hope that is good enough. Update: Got my acceptance letter today.

  5. Sorry guys I graduated from stratford and passed my board, I'm now a psych nurse. Currently working on my psych nurse practitioner degree. Word of advice take the hard teachers at stratford, it will help in passing the boards.
  6. So I am on my second semester of my nursing classes and chew last semester was crazy. it's a lot of self studying but It's doable, the classes are not easy. They also do not round your grades up. I had a 89.7 for a class, and the teacher gave me a B+. I also had to cut down my time at work because it was just too much. advice for doing well in your classes: find a small study group print out power points and take notes be organized used youtube.... youtube will be your best friend study your ati book do not rely on the study guide. Study study study! DO NOT CHEAT OR YOU WON'T DO WELL ON EXAMS. exams are application base.
  7. Hey guys so I am attending stratford university nursing program right now, and I was looking for recent post about it at first before I applied but I did not see a lot of post about it. So far I just took medical terminology and biochemistry, the professors are very knowledgeable, I did not get as much knowledge and information when I was attending a well known university. If you are going to take biochemistry and you are attending falls church I would recommend taking Dr Mustafa, and Dr Awad for medical terminology. My main campus is woodbridge but I am taking classes in falls church because woodbridge schedule does not work well with my work schedule. I had to get permission in order for me to do that. Classes are small, professor actually care about you but you are not babied. You can find classes to work with your work schedule, but you have to study... because semesters are over every 9 weeks. I will update you guys after taking Nurs 100 and 110. my semester starts next 2 weeks. Edit: Woodbridge Nclex is actually really good and they have their own accreditation. As for school expense: I pay out of pocket, I am on a monthly plan so I have to work. So far I really enjoy that textbook is part of the tuition. Coming from a well known undergrad I know how book expense can pile up cost. So I am really grateful for that. I really hope that this next semester goes well...but I will try to be as transparent as possible for anyone who is contemplating going to stratford or not . Definitely will take time to update you guys on the nursing program.
  8. so I went to the interview august 31st, still have not gotten anything from the mail and my status is still committee ready. Is that a automatic rejection? Today makes it 4 weeks and I'm losing hope
  9. thanks judz, same here. I will be travelling from towson, it's a 27 minutes drive. wbu?
  10. hey same here, I'm currently taking statistics and nutrition, i'd be taking a&p and chemistry in the fall too. Oh i see... well was judging based on how early others posted on the past threads
  11. hey i applied i'm still on "complete and ready to review" wbu? I wonder why there are not a lot of people commenting on the 2018 threads.
  12. Me too lol. i think its hard for people to see this forum. You might want to change it to "umd cnl spring 2018" I literally had to search before this came along. Thanks for opening this forum its nice a way to keep track of the admission process and it also helps with my anxiety. lol
  13. oh wow... well. I still have to take chem, anatomy 2 and statistic
  14. right... i've been checking everyday but nothing yet. I'm more worried about my undergrad gpa. so far undergrad is a 2.8 and my prereqs is a 3.4, I still have 3 more classes to take, which i'm taking fall semester. I hope that does not get in the way of admission
  15. Hey nurse champ. Hey I'm still waiting. I think they start reviewing application June 15th. Did yours change to committee ready yet? I applied since April 11th
