Two 13-week travel assignments, at once - feasible?
Aha! Got it now! Awesome! Thanks! Would the 2nd assignment being a traveling distance from the first one make a difference?

Wow. It's unfortunate that your knowledge is buried under that character.

Two 13-week travel assignments, at once - feasible?
Thanks NedRN. By why i meant "what's there reason behind it", not a "how come" complain. Thanks for explaining. Googling for information on this part of the law, but I can't find anything. I am sure I'm phrasing it wrong. Any idea how I should word it? Are per diem agencies the the same as regular 13-week assignment agencies? Or are they agencies that specialize in per diem?

Two 13-week travel assignments, at once - feasible?
OK. Two question. Why would the 2nd contract be fully taxed if home is still working away from home? How do you find per diem agencies?

Two 13-week travel assignments, at once - feasible?
If I have a fixed schedule for the entire 13-weeks, guaranteed by the nurse manager and the director, 36 hours, 3 days a week...and another facility could take me in on a similar schedule but on the alternate days, would it be possible to do two assignments, with 2 different agencies? Anyone ever done it?

Big hospital vs small community hospital: Which one is easier work-wise for a new grad?
An 80 bed community hospital or a 500+ bed city hospital? Which would be a better foothold into the travel nurse world for a rookie nurse (zero experience)? P.s. I know one should not start with travel nursing straight out of college. Consider the above a hypothetical question ?

Just dropping in to say "hello" and offer a couple of tips :)
Wonder where you are with your bitcoin now.

Request for a ton of info right from the start
Yeah thats how i feel. Is the checklist, which takes up most of the time, supposed to be done before they tell you what hospitals they have open assignments with? Usually they say where they have assignments for a specific specialty with little details like assignment duration and shifts. To get to the name of the facilities and the package details though...enter the checklist and a 56 page application.

Request for a ton of info right from the start
So agencies ask to fill out a lengthy application, and many times sign a consumer report form when you apply, before an interview or submitting you to a hospital. Is this the norm? Should i? I feel this wastes a colossal amount of time since i'm not even sure they have anything that interests me. How am i supposed to go about this?

How long can you be with one hospital as a travel nurse?
If requirement is constant, how long can you stay as a travel nurse with one hospital? Is there a limit to how many times you can renew or extend a contract with one facility?

Do you list your agency on your resume?
What about the ATS?

Do you list your agency on your resume?
I did. Nothing special. They have 2 samples. 1 for experienced nurses - which basically just lists place of work, location, and date. And the other is for fresh graduates. No duties to list like every other resume sample on the interwebs. That got me wondering, are there special rules for travel nurses when it comes to resume building? Yeah but the resume kind of needs to have an enticing enough bait to get an interview, no? Or is it - again - different rules for travel nurses? Got'cha! Very contradicting info out here, i must say. I really appreciate your input NedRN! Everyone else...C'mon now! Feel free the chime in! Don't be shy! :)

Do you list your agency on your resume?
Is that instead of "employment" or "work history"? Also, do you include job description/duties?

What is a caseload?
Makes sense. So when i see nurses talking about caseloads here...perhaps the are case management nurses?

Do you list your agency on your resume?
Hi again NedRN! I am curious...so when applying with a travel agency, you don't mention on your resume that your previous employments were as a travel nurse?
-
Do you list your agency on your resume?
Thank you NedRN for taking the time to comment. I'm sorta stuck at the "summary" part right now. Not sure what to put it. Everything is in the job duties. Don't see what else to put in the summary that wont be a repeat.

Do you list your agency on your resume?
Cant find it

What is a caseload?
So im guessing this is different than nurse/patient ratio which is usually 1:4. Can't imagine anything such as 1:20 or 1:70 (as some say they have case load of 70). Any knowledge that can be shared would be SOO greatly appreciated!

Do you list your agency on your resume?
Hey all! When you are applying for a direct hire, do you list your agency on your resume? How exactly do you list it? What is the format you use? What about when applying with an agency?
-
What is a caseload?
A novice question, i know. When a nurse says i'm doing 20 or 30 or 50 caseloads, what does that mean? Is a case load for all nursing specialties? Is it the amount of patients a nurse sees in a week? In a day? A month? Is caseload the same as patient to nurse ratio? What's the difference? Do travel nurses have case loads? If yes, then... In a large teaching hospital, working as a med-surge nurse, what is the average caseload? What is considered above average? What is a lot? How do you put your caseload in a sentence? Do you say..."i do 20 caseload"?, "I manage 20 caseload"? "I have 20 caseload"?...etc. Obviously i need a for dummies explanation. Thanks in advance!
