  1. Aha! Got it now! Awesome! Thanks! Would the 2nd assignment being a traveling distance from the first one make a difference?
  2. Wow. It's unfortunate that your knowledge is buried under that character.
  3. Thanks NedRN. By why i meant "what's there reason behind it", not a "how come" complain. Thanks for explaining. Googling for information on this part of the law, but I can't find anything. I am sure I'm phrasing it wrong. Any idea how I should word it? Are per diem agencies the the same as regular 13-week assignment agencies? Or are they agencies that specialize in per diem?
  4. OK. Two question. Why would the 2nd contract be fully taxed if home is still working away from home? How do you find per diem agencies?
  5. If I have a fixed schedule for the entire 13-weeks, guaranteed by the nurse manager and the director, 36 hours, 3 days a week...and another facility could take me in on a similar schedule but on the alternate days, would it be possible to do two assignments, with 2 different agencies? Anyone ever done it?
  6. So for a new grad...does it mean easier or more difficult? Im doing med surg
  7. An 80 bed community hospital or a 500+ bed city hospital? Which would be a better foothold into the travel nurse world for a rookie nurse (zero experience)? P.s. I know one should not start with travel nursing straight out of college. Consider the above a hypothetical question ?
  8. Wonder where you are with your bitcoin now.
  9. Yeah thats how i feel. Is the checklist, which takes up most of the time, supposed to be done before they tell you what hospitals they have open assignments with? Usually they say where they have assignments for a specific specialty with little details like assignment duration and shifts. To get to the name of the facilities and the package details though...enter the checklist and a 56 page application.
  10. So agencies ask to fill out a lengthy application, and many times sign a consumer report form when you apply, before an interview or submitting you to a hospital. Is this the norm? Should i? I feel this wastes a colossal amount of time since i'm not even sure they have anything that interests me. How am i supposed to go about this?
  11. If requirement is constant, how long can you stay as a travel nurse with one hospital? Is there a limit to how many times you can renew or extend a contract with one facility?
  12. What about the ATS?
  13. I did. Nothing special. They have 2 samples. 1 for experienced nurses - which basically just lists place of work, location, and date. And the other is for fresh graduates. No duties to list like every other resume sample on the interwebs. That got me wondering, are there special rules for travel nurses when it comes to resume building? Yeah but the resume kind of needs to have an enticing enough bait to get an interview, no? Or is it - again - different rules for travel nurses? Got'cha! Very contradicting info out here, i must say. I really appreciate your input NedRN! Everyone else...C'mon now! Feel free the chime in! Don't be shy! :)
  14. Is that instead of "employment" or "work history"? Also, do you include job description/duties?
  15. Makes sense. So when i see nurses talking about caseloads here...perhaps the are case management nurses?
