I lost my license in 2005 because I was addicted to pain pills. I applied for reinstatement (clean for about 12 years now) and am waiting for the BON to give me a date for my formal hearing. The investigator told me to call the monitoring agency. They want me in a treatment group (I've been told by both the VA hospital and CSB I don't need treatment). I'm also supposed to start drug screens next week. I've been working as a waitress since I left nursing. I have no money for all this. Im pretty much ready to give up on Nursing just because I simply cannot afford to do all this. Hearing how much you guys are struggling financially even while working in nursing is just depressing.

I would think they wouldn't press charges because then they'll have to explain why they are keeping this stash of a powerful highly controlled medication. I hope all goes well for you.

Does anyone know if herbal supplements are tested for in monitoring programs for health professionals? Things like kava or kratom. I am not in a monitoring program. I'm just doing some research. Thanks!
