  1. Thank you! Yes, I had a digital interview back in Feb and then got a call from the recruiter a few days later and we scheduled an interview. ?
  2. I did! I accepted an offer for the ICU. I know they are still interviewing! It's just a big waiting game it seems.
  3. Hey everyone! I just found this! I just received a digital interview request. This request seems pretty broad, like it covers all areas rather than just one unit that is interested. Is that true? Or will I receive more digital interviews for other units along the way?
  4. If you guys want, you can check out my YouTube channel!
  5. Nursing schools definitely vary. My first semester of nursing school I had skills class on Mondays, Lecture from 8-12 on tuesday, and clinical on wednesday from 6-3. I had the rest of the week off.
  6. I love the Saunders NCLEX book! I actually just reviewed it on my nursing school youtube channel! I highly recommend it to anyone that has yet to purchase it! It seriously helped me on all of my exams last semester!
  7. I am currently a nursing student in an ADN program. I would say the best route for you, as a military wife, is to go straight for your BSN. I do not know of any online ADN programs that will work with you. I do, however, know that there are a lot of BSN programs that are online. Though it will take longer, you will ultimately be getting your bachelors, and you will be able to do it even if you have to move! Good luck with all of your future endeavors!
  8. Typically for BSN programs, you will have to complete the first 2 years of college taking basics such as, stats, chemistry, a&p1 and 2, microbiology, english 1 and 2, speech, and some electives. After you complete around 2 years (or however long it takes for you to complete all of the required classes), you will then be able to apply to the nursing program. For ADN programs, you typically only take microbiology, a&p 1 and 2, and the HESI or TEAS as your entrance exam. Once you complete those, you will then be able to apply to the program. I am currently a nursing student.
  9. I agree! Follow your friends advice! You have done an amazing job and your grades speak! I am currently a nursing student. Anyways, congrats on your great grades! And good luck on your future endeavors.
  10. Congratulations! Getting in to nursing school is an amazing accomplishment! I just finished my first semester of nursing school. Again, congrats!!! Don't worry about all the negative things others say. Nursing school can be hard, but it is so rewarding!!
  11. Though 73% isn't an A, it is still passing. It means you know 73% of the material! A&P is hard. It's honestly harder in some ways than nursing school classes. I would say stick to it. Don't drop. You've got this. You recognize where you went wrong, so now all you need to do is focus on what you can do to better you test taking. I would talk with the professor and ask if they have any study tips!
  12. When I was 18 years old and just starting college, my dad died unexpectedly from a heart attack. Because of his death, my college was put on hold as I fell into a deep depression. After taking a year off from school, I got back to it. I started taking classes again. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with my life at that moment. I was going to school and working as a waitress at mediocre restaurant. January, 2016, I decided I wanted to become a nurse. I knew that was what I was meant to do. I enrolled in both Microbiology and A&P at the same time. I plowed through them and got A's in both classes. In May of the same year, my mother died. I was only 21. Though my heart was hurting, I knew I had to stay strong and continue on. By August of 2016, I got my acceptance letter. After completing all of the prerequisites and the entrance exam, I made it. After the death of both parents, I made it. Now, at the age of 22, I just finished my first semester of nursing school and I am about to start my mental health rotation. I also have a nursing youtube channel, which allows me to reach out to others that need motivation to become the nurses they want to be. I am so thankful for all that I have been blessed with. Though my hearts yearns from my parents, I know they are proud of me. I know they are watching over me.
  13. Hey guys! So I am currently a nursing student! I have just completed my first semester of nursing school! I also have a youtube channel! I wanted to reach out to the nursing community! I post nursing school updates, advice, and vlogs! Come check me out! Haley Ann, Student Nurse - YouTube
  14. Hello! I am currently a nursing student and I just completed my first semester. Before I started, I was tempted to buy an Erin Condren planner. I just couldn't justify spending the $$. I ended up getting one from amazon for about $8. It works great and really helps me stay organized.
  15. I am currently a nursing student! I just completed my first semester. If it were me, I would go ahead and get the Psychology degree, considering how close you are to receiving that! After you get the degree, go ahead and apply for the nursing program! I think it is better to finish what you started, that way, if for whatever reason nursing doesn't work out for you, you will always have something else to build on.
