  1. I'd like to live with someone else from the residency too and would like a place that is close enough walking/public transit distance. I've found a room to rent that is available but isn't walking/public transit distance or with another resident --- but all this wait for on boarding materials is taking up time from finding some else to live with/finding a decent place (and adding to all of the antsy feeling).
  2. Have you started looking at different places in Nashville? Same here -antsy about not knowing and the wait for everything to start picking up.
  3. Starting in Nov too. If you have compact MLS license then you'll be fine to work for up to 90 days but I'm sure it's different for noncompact state (Georgia being one). Sorry I don't think I was much help. I'm also hoping they start sending us info our way soon-just to calm some of my nerves of what to expect and what not haha
  4. Same here! - when are we to receive onboarding materials?
  5. Why so many new grads? Any idea?
  6. Where will you be coming from mamccullough1?
  7. Out of curiosity, why did you all apply? Was it the name? Did you know people that went through the NRP? amything specific about this program that made you guys go for it?
  8. What were you thinking absn as far as preparing? if anything maybe reviewing meds.
  9. Anybody know if holiday differentials area thing at Vandy?
  10. exciting gohawks425! Where are you coming from? And crazydoglady---maybe waitlisted but they're making offers until the rest of the month so there's still time :)
  11. Anyone else who has accepted the offer for the NRP?
  12. Any idea on how many they're accepting total nurse residents?
  13. So what happens after accepting the offer? Any instructions as far as assistance with finding housing or what we need to have prior pñorientation or help with transferring licensure or anything as far as instructions ?
  14. Many thanks I truly appreciate it!
  15. Open uniform policy and tshirts are allowed too but not sure about scrub pants -I think maybe those depend on units? Not 100% sure though-just what I've heard from current employees.
  16. Hi I'd be starting in Nov. too. where are you from and were you emailed any info after you sent your acceptance? Just wondering because I'm worried about orientation length -I emailed the recruiter and she said that it would be from 6-12 weeks-I was expecting a bit longer of a time -what does everyone else think?
  17. How about during the winter? Is public transportation a go during those winters times? It's good to hear you can do it all just via public transportation. Do you mind if I ask where you work? Any chance you work at UCH Denver?
  18. Hi! I'm in the process of considering to move to Denver and work at University of Colorado Hospital and was wondering if it was at all possible to live close enough to walk/bike to the hospital? How's the public transportation system - pretty reliable? Many thanks Sincerely, buffoon of a new grad
  19. Idaho and what about you? Are you already licensed? Did you offer letter mention anything about shift differentials? I thought mine did but after taking a second look nothing about that...
  20. Surgical Track What about you ALM315? Do you any of you know how long orientation will be for the units?
  21. Hi all! Just looking for past participants that have been through this program. I want to get an idea of how it went for any of you. I'd really like to transfer from being a buffoon to actual nurse and from the looks of it- this program sounds pretty solid. Were you supported? and silly question but what scrubs do RNs wear on the units particularly the MSPCU? How easy is it to transfer from one unit to another? Any insight onto this program? Oh and how is it living in Denver? Is it possible to live close enough to the hospital to walk to work?
  22. Rate will be $21.85 with shift differentials. And yes have received an offer. What about you ALM315?- anything yet? Anyone else hear anything yet? Are there just not enough applicants? Seems like pervious forums have been busier
  23. Were you able to find anything as far as affording to live in Nashville and/or past participants? I applied as well and interviewed - have you heard anything back?
  24. Did anyone notice that the deadline was extended for a couple tracks? Any idea as to why this is? Is it because not enough applicants or nursing shortage or is the program not what it used to be? anyone know or have an idea for this?
