Thanks for the heads up! I do plan on engraving my steth and I'm pretty good at keeping track of my belongings (my class is only 30 students so thats also a bonus). I guess my question was more towards what stethoscope do you guys think is best for ER use? Or does it not matter?

Hi guys! Although I have yet to start nursing school (starting august!), I know for sure I want to go into ER Nursing. I plan to get my stethoscope engraved and want to buy a good one to use both during and after I finish school. With that in mind, what stethoscopes do you guys use? I'm currently debating on getting the Littman Classic III and the Cardiology IV.

I started studying right around when I posted this (June) until my testing date in November. Last three months before my exam I studied everyday, whereas before those three months I would just study a couple times in the week. The description fordte1985 wrote is all the systems we should know for the science portion but I feel like the A&P on the exam is mostly AP2 especially like the endocrine and urinary systems.

I know its super late but I randomly found my way back to this thread and wanted to give my utmost thanks to xxstarrynitesxx and fordte1985! I ended up taking my teas early and scored 90%. I really benefitted from the Blossom with Jessica videos xxstarrynitexxxxx, so thank you so much. Fordte1985, I used your comment to structure my study plan since at the time I did not know what AP1 would consist of at all! I also used the crashcourse videos which I absolutely loved and I feel were a huge help. Thank you guys so much again!!! I wish you guys the best in your future endeavors!!!!

It is timed, but they give you 8 hours and don't time you as how the actual test would. For example, for the reading section you are given 64 minutes on the real TEAS but on the practice you have 8 hours, so you would have to time yourself if you are not a fast test taker. I know a lot of people who struggled on the reading mostly because they just ran out of time. Also, idkmybffjill brings up a good point. I'm not sure about the legalities either, so I would double check if I were you about taking pics. I don't want anyone to get in trouble!

No, you will not be able to. Also keep in mind, once you submit a practice exam you cannot go back. I would recommend taking notes on the questions you got wrong (or taking a picture if you want to time yourself). :)

Idk if anyone is lowkey lurking (I know I always am LOL) but to update you guys, I did end up taking my teas earlier than December because I wanted to give myself time, just in case I didn't do well on my first try. This way I could've retook the teas if I wanted but I'm happy with my score. I will be applying to metro (my goal!) and IHCC like I mentioned in my previous post. Scores I will be applying with are: IHCC composite; 12.75 (90% on teas, 3.75 pre req gpa) Metro composite; 12.5 (90% on teas, 3.5 pre req gpa) Good luck to anyone reading!

I'm taking my exam one day after you í ¾í´£ But that's so awesome that science is a breeze for you!! I'm most definitely am struggling with science seeing it's mostly AP2 and I'm still in AP1 :/ I'm currently going through the systems that would be taught in AP2 and self teaching myself so Idk how I will do on that especially since the questions are kind of specific. For now I'm hoping my reading, english, and math scores will be high enough to drown out my science lol

Hi guys! I was just wondering for those who have taken the TEAS before and used the Mometrix TEAS Study Guide, did you find the practice exams in that book easier or harder than the actual TEAS? If you found them to be about the same difficulty, what other tools did you use to study along with it?

Hey guys! I am planning to take my teas December and I'm hoping to apply to Metro and IHCC for Fall 2018. I was wondering if there is anyone who has been accepted to any of these schools and if you can share your GPAs/TEAS or composite scores here if you don't mind? I'm trying to calculate my chances and get a better idea of what type of scores Metro and IHCC usually take. Also, if anyone is applying to MANE schools for this Fall comment what school and your score you 're applying with (or hope to apply with if you haven't taken teas yet) if you are comfortable enough. I wanna see how many Fall 2018 MANE applicants are on this site .

I have friends right now who are taking A&P1 with Chem and they are pretty much struggling. I find A&P pretty easy myself, because it really is just memorizing everything. But, the thing is, it is VERY time consuming. I spend a couple of hours every day of the week to study for my exams. If you can manage your time efficiently and are very much motivated like others have said, you can do it! Personally I would take them separately, since chemistry is a bit tough, just to secure my As. Good luck!

I'm actually currently taking Anatomy and Physiology 1 too and I'm doing okay so far (A-99% on practical, C-79% on lecture exam) so I wanted to comment just in case I can help. First, I think it's really great you are using quizlet!!!!! I abuse that website so much, it is one of the main reasons why I did well on my practical and managed to pass my lecture. For practical I would totally recommend finding your school's science study room! Hardly anyone goes to the one at my school so I never knew it existed until I talked to a teacher. But our study room literally has everything I needed for my practical exam. I would come in every day for a couple of hours or whenever I'm free and learn from the models because very very similar ones are what I'll see on my exam. For lecture, I can't really give advice on, since I got a C lol, other than quizlet and going through study guides if your teacher provides them. I was dumb enough to wait until the practical exam was over and then to procrastinate studying for the lecture (it was 1 week after the practical too) so I only managed to study only one chapter and went through the study guides quickly. I don't want to sound annoying because you already know this, but just to stress it, always communicate with the teacher!!!! Other than quizlet I feel like I passed the lecture because I emailed my professor a question and she literally shot back a whole list of specifics I should know for the test! It really saved me. So yeah that's all I can offer for now, wish I could help more. Buuuuut Good luck!! I hope you do well!!! :-)

I have been self teaching myself recently, but I feel like I don't have enough structure. I'm currently going through the body systems, but I was wondering if you remember what was taught in your AP2 class? Since I take AP1 this fall, I don't have any way to know what sections I should focus on and which ones I would be wasting my time on if I'm going to learn it this fall anyways.

I have a question regarding the practice tests from ATI. I know that once you buy them you can take each test twice, but after you take the test is there any way you can keep it for reference? I was debating on buying the practice tests and studying off of them (the ones I got wrong) or if I should just get the study manual instead if the case is that the tests can't be accessed once I have taken them.

Hi guys, I was hoping to take the TEAS early and take it this fall, but I won't be taking A&P 2 and microbiology until the spring. The only pre reqs I need to have done to get into my school's nursing program is comp 1 + econ (elective) With all this in mind do you think I should take TEAS around the end of this fall? Or should I wait until I take A&P 2 and microbiology? I wasn't sure if the content of these classes play a major part of me passing the TEAS or not. Only reason why I want to take it early is because other than those two classes I'm done with all my pre reqs and one psyc minor by the spring semester. My counselor thinks that since I'm thinking of taking the TEAS my freshmen year of college, I'm rushing too much. But, if I'm not taking nursing classes I really don't know what to do for my entire sophomore year since I'll be done with pre reqs come spring. I don't want to take any sort of break because I know I'm going to get lazy and lose my study habits. I could take two more minors but I honestly don't know what to minor in.
