  1. Has anyone heard back after interviews yet?
  2. Hi everyone! I am a new grad from an accelerated BSN program. I have applied to several nurse residency programs and am so excited that I have 2 interviews coming up!. I know these programs are really competitive and want to be prepared for my interviews! I was wondering if anyone who has interviewed for any new grad residencies (or nursing jobs in general) could share any tough interview questions they had! One of the residencies is at a childrens hospital, so if anyone has any peds specific questions they have been asked i would greatly appreciate it!! I have heard they ask a lot of behavioral questions and scenario question if anyone has examples like that!! THANKS!
  3. i got a call last week for level 6!! i forgot to ask what the format of the interview was, and who we'd be interviewing with? Does anyone know anything about the interview process?
  4. Hi! I am interviewing for this floor in a few weeks, I was wondering if you ended up working there or had any advice about the interview process? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
  5. i haven't heard anything either! hopefully soon!
  6. I've read a lot of negative things about this program online. I am just finishing it up and have to say although it is really really tough, it is doable. Just remember you are getting a 4 year degree and combining 4 years of stress into 1 year. The Hesi is hard and yes it is unfortunate that a standardized test can hold you back, but if you prepare and practice it is doable. It will also be very good practice for the NCLEX. In my class i think 60% of us passed on our first try and most who didn't were very close and I think most will pass on their second try. If anyone has questions let me know!
  7. I applied for October and have not heard anything yet either. From reading threads of past years, it seems like they usually run behind. The status of my online application is still "submitted" also. If anyone hears anything please let us know!!
  8. Good luck on your interviews tomorrow!! Please let us know how it goes :)
  9. Hi Congrats on your interview! I am curious about your excel sheet, and if you are able to tell which units have the most interested applicants/ which seem to be the most competitive? I am applying in october and very torn about which units to preference.
  10. Hi! I am interested in applying for the october cohort and was wondering if anyone knows what these programs weigh the heaviest during the application process. My program is an accelerated second degree BSN so we don't have a preceptorship option. I also have never worked in a hospital so I don't have much clinical experience outside of my class clinicals. Is GPA a big deciding factor? Any tips about the process would be much appreciated!
