  1. Thank you! I am super excited! I am also a night owl, so hopefully the adjustment won't be so bad. Now I need to pass my NCLEX! I'm using UWorld, and I love it so far.
  2. That sounds good! Plus I fit in age-wise. I'm 32 ;-) I wonder how many of us they interviewed this time vs. how many got the job. I am getting so excited! Thank you again for your answers!
  3. Thanks for such a detailed response!! I am mostly worried about the schedule. I have a 4-year-old. Are there many people with kids and families, or is it mostly younger students?
  4. Hi, I had my interview and got the job offer! It's Level IV at Children's Colorado. I wanted to ask you if your program has night shifts too, and if yes, how are you coping? I never worked a night shift, and I am pretty scared it is going to be bad. I haven't accepted the offer yet. Thanks!
  5. Thank you! I found out on May 5-10, and I think I applied at the end of March. My status on the website never changed though. They call you by phone for an interview.
  6. Hello everyone! I had my interview 2 days ago and got an offer this morning. I haven't accepted it yet. For those of you who are currently in the program, how do you like it? Is it really intense? How are you dealing with rotating shifts and night shifts? Any info will help! Thank you!
  7. Thank you so much! I've been prepping extensively, did my portfolio and bought a great business suit ;-) I finally feel ready for it!
  8. Congrats! This is so exciting!! Would you mind sharing some of the interview questions, and your interview experience in general? I'm interviewing at Children's too ;-)
  9. Thank you for such a detailed reply! Congrats!! When does your program start?
  10. Hello everyone, I was invited for an interview at a Level IV NICU in one of the best hospitals in the area. I am beyond excited and thankful, but also very nervous. Their new grad program is very competitive, so I would like to be as prepared as possible for my very first nursing interview ;-) I have read numerous threads on NICU interviews, but I would like to ask if any of you had the chance to interview a new grad. What qualities would you like to see in a new grad? What questions are most commonly asked? What makes a candidate to really stand out? Also, how much do you know about a candidate before the interview? I really appreciate any help and guidance. Thank you!
  11. I know this is an old post, but what is your recommendation for an interview? Can you recall any questions? Was everyone friendly? Is the scenario based on clinical skills? Any info will help! Thank you!
  12. I'm trying to find any info on their interview questions. Also, do any of you know what they mean by the scenario type written portion of the interview. Is it like a written test?
  13. Awesome! When is your interview? Mine is on 06/19. I still haven't gotten an official email. You?
  14. Hi! I just got a call for an interview at the NICU! I am sooooo excited, but also very nervous. I want to work as a NICU nurse so badly, plus I would feel honored to work for such an incredible institution. Do you have any advice for an interview? I appreciate any help or a recommendation. Also, how do you like the program and your unit? Thank you!
  15. I passed the HR, but wasn't called for an interview. Good luck everyone!! Please share your interview stories!
