  1. I passed, I am starting orientation in the morning, I think I am more nervous about that than I was for the NCLEX.:chair:
  2. Found out Friday that I passed. Whew.....when I left the testing center, I didn't know if I should cry or jump up and down. I am sure you did well, it's just hard to be sure when you have to wait so long to get your results.
  3. I just graduated in December:) . We used some of our club money to buy new lab coats for each instructor (classroom, not clinical instructors). We had a friends mother embroider their names and titles on them...the embroidery was really special for one of our instructors, because she had just gotten her MSN completed that semester. They all really appreciated the gift and it wasn't that expensive. Congrats on your upcoming graduation.
  4. QUOTE: one of the reasons I chose EC. Some people can assimilate information without having to be spoon fed by 'professors'. The nonsense part, IMHO, is still your (not only 'your')opinion (no offense), care to back it up? I completely agree with Law of Fives....I am a traditional school graduate, and aside from the first two semesters of clinicals the courses could have been self taught. As far as clinicals, after 2nd semster (out of 5) we hardly had any interaction with our instructor, the apron strings were cut so to speak.
  5. There is a NICU at the hospital where I work, in fact my best friend is starting to work there next month. Pitt County Memorial, having lived in Ft. Bragg, I am sure you have heard of it. Anyway, they start around $18, that goes up with experience.
  6. Love living close to the beach, even though I am getting ready to have to move closer inland b/c I cant do daily commute.
  7. Good Luck Jessica I just took mine today, it is a very unique test. I hope you do well.
  8. I took the NCLEX today too....shut off at 75 questions....lots of Dig questions and peptic ulcer disease. I could not beleive how many peptic ulcer questions I had. I am anxiously waiting for Friday too. It was unlike any test I have ever taken. I do have to say that out of the 8 study aids I used, I would say that the NCSBN website and Kaplan prepared me the most.
  9. I am in my last semester of nursing school and I am writing an ethics/leadership paper on the subject as NPs as primary care providers. In my state of NC, NPs have their own practices, prescribe medications and make referrals to other HCP when the situation warrants it. Why shouldn't NP's be entitled to the same respect and autonomy as the MD? These are the questions I am raising in my paper, any thoughts from NPs would be helpful. What problems do you have in your practice relating to other providers, the public etc?
