  1. Hello gingerbeer. Congratulations on the acceptances! I was also in the same boat when I had to decide between programs. I got acceptance in ADN programs as well as in a Masters entry level program. It was really hard for me to decide which path to choose because I didn't have any financial support. So finally, I came to the decision that I can get loans and go for the Masters program. My reasoning behind this decision was : 1. Masters in less time (2years) vs ADN to BSN & then MSN 5-6years). 2. If I go for ADN then it will take 3 years with the bridge BSN program. So why not just finish Masters in 2 years and work the third year while making loan payments. 3. Less time in school to get an advanced/speciality degree in future. These are just my thoughts. Let me know if you have any input. I will be starting my Masters this month :). Good luck!
  2. Thank you, I will appreciate your help. After reading last year's summer forum, I think the financial aid is awarded little late, somewhere around the beginning of May. If I am not wrong, I think the deadline to pay is May 1st. I would love to know if people applied for private loans until they recieved their federal loan award? You are correct one step at a time is going to make the process easier, it is just that we have only few weeks to figure out everything and it makes me nervous. I am scared of loans and interest like everyone else, but for me there is no other option. Thank you :)
  3. Congratulations :)
  4. I received email in the afternoon on Friday, so may be they will continue on Monday. I am little surprised that no one posted on this forum. Good luck to you!
  5. Does anyone know when we will recieve the financial aid letter/award? Is it required to make the deposit first before viewing the financial aid letter? I am stuck and do not know anything about the financial aid. Any input will be appreciated. Also, did you guys recieve any email after the status update? I have not recieved any information except the acceptance phone call. Thank you.
  6. Congratulations on getting accepted. My letter has April 11th too. I think April 2nd is for the first round of acceptances.
  7. @Destination_RN Thank you for creating the page and it is really nice of you for inviting all the applicants. Can't wait to meet you all.
  8. Hello everyone, check your emails. Just received an acceptance email :)
  9. I would appreciate your effort in making a fb page. I also have a question regarding financial aid. Did you recieve your financial aid packet? How can I access my FA award? I tried checking through myUSF but it asks for a PIN and I did not recieve any pin. Also any information on orientation date, fee due date, registeration date? Thank you.
  10. I feel like this application cycle waitlisters have a good chance of getting in as few of the accepted applicants mentioned initially in this forum that they might decline the spot. Last cycle when I was waitlisted, I do not think that the waitlist moved at all. I was sad but I did not let my sadness to stop me from dreaming again or to let that decision stop me from applying again. I have been through the waitlist phase and I can totally understand how it feels, but please do not lose hope. God has something special for all of us in his store.
  11. Hey guys, hang in there, I am sure more calls will be going out. Last application cycle I was waitlisted but I applied again. Good luck to you all!
  12. Thank you. Got the acceptance call í ½í¸Š
  13. Congratulations for the acceptance!! I missed the call .
  14. Guys just missed a call from Ayesha.
  15. @Tpez49 thank you for the info. I mailed my application. Wow 387 applications! I sent my application near the deadline date, I am sure my confirmation will be coming around April, LOL. Your points are great. I know how it is to maintain 4.0, good job .
  16. Hey good for you. :) I was nervous too. I called them few days ago and they said we are not supposed to receive any receipt email. When did you receive the letter for verification? Do you mind sharing your points/stats? Thank you.
  17. I haven't heard of Delta college. Is it in bay area? I think I had 65 points for LMC excluding the TEAS. I took TEAS in January. I hope more people start posting on this forum.
  18. Looks like the on screen confirmation is the only one that we all received. Did you guys apply to any other colleges? It will be great to share stats/points so that we can know what the application pool looks like. We still have few months to hear back.
  19. Hello Tpez49, I also applied to LMC for fall 2018. I was wondering if you received any email confirmation because I did not. I only got a message displayed on the screen once I hit the submit button. Good Luck to you and everyone else!
  20. Congratulations :)
  21. Hi, I have not heard anything yet.
  22. Congratulations!! :)
  23. Very true.. I too believe that if it is meant to happen for me then it will. The only thing in my hand is to keep working towards my goals and the rest is in God's hands. I hope that you get to know your decision soon because I can totally understand how it feels to not know your app status when many other people know already. I have been feeling much more relaxed after knowing my app. status, otherwise I was not even able to concentrate on my classes. Good luck to you.
  24. After reading B101's comment, it came to my mind that the reason behind USF's decision for not informing us (waitlisters) regarding our rank and the size of the pool could be that they divide/categorize applicants based on the criteria they (applicants) meet and then rank them within those categories....?????? What you guys think?
  25. @B101, That's great! I think they will call you for acceptance soon :)
