  1. Winston Salem NC LTC/4 yrs exp/3p-11p shift = $19.50 base pay + 1.50 shift diff = $21.00/hr
  2. Does anyone else miss the old days of paper charting? Sometimes I do...I used to stack my charts on a bedside table and find a nice quiet place to do my charting instead of having to sit at the nurses station computer all the time.
  3. I Live in Winston and am also looking at getting into the BSN program. I see we have the same avi also LOL
  4. I live in NC and in my facility, Medicare requires that we chart on all patients every day every shift!! its ridiculous.
  5. I also have a resident in LTC that doesnt speak English. I am 99% sure shes Vietnamese and we dont have interpreters. Obviously nobody in the facility speaks her language and (Im new to the facility) I dont think she ever has family visit or call. There is a no cell phone policy so i cant use the translator on my phone to talk to her so i am thinking about taking it upon myself to make her some flash cards. I dont know how long she has lived at this facilty but it makes me really sad that nobody has even made an attempt to speak with her. I am considering learning a few Vietnamese phrases just to be able to communicate with her. She doesnt speak much but I really think its because she just doesnt bother anymore.
