  1. My personal reasons: 1) It's Columbia. Holy crap! 2) NYC. I NEVER thought I would ever have the chance to live there, ever. 3) Clinical opportunities. It seems as though the opportunities are limitless and incredibly academically enriching. 4) Brand new school! 5) Cost is a lot... but you're coming out of it as a Columbia nurse. You will be able to pay off the loans. 6) Seamless transition to DNP. The third year of the DNP sounds amazing: you get to make a salary and gain experience!
  2. I was accepted for midwifery and I think I will be attending a different school. Hopefully that helps wait list folks. :)
  3. I was rejected at Yale and waitlisted at Vanderbilt... Hello fellow Lions :)
  4. Wow.. thanks for that. Also, good luck to you! ^^^ 4 PM EST!
  5. Y'ALL. I called and they said we need to only submit the form to the online application. We don't need to fuss with the IRS.
  6. I tried to send the IRS transcript online, but unfortunately they could not "verify my identity" and now I have to wait for a verification code to be sent by mail. I'm not really sure what to do at this point, other than call Columbia, upload the form, and follow the instructions on the form. This is so frustrating.
  7. I'm gonna call tomorrow and ask if we need to send it to the IRS in addition to uploading it. Columbia is looking for a 1040 form, so I just wrote 1040 for line 6. Also, I wouldn't worry about what's on the teacher's college website. That's for a completely different graduate school and the nursing school has already given us instructions about financial aid.
  8. Are we supposed to send the 4506-T form to the IRS along with uploading it to the financial aid app, or do we just need to upload it to the financial aid application? Thanks for the help everyone!
  9. Does anyone know if it is acceptable to reuse some of the application material for the financial aid scholarship essays? I talked a lot about my background, what makes me diverse, and my leadership in my application essays...
  10. Can you show me a screenshot of what you're seeing?
  11. @thxwy, you log in to see your status here: apply.nursing.emory.edu/account/login and there's a new link and it says "updated status", click that and it should bring you to a decision
  12. Admitted for midwifery. I'm actually shaking
  13. I just called them and they told me to submit it anyway. I hope this doesn't affect my decision tomorrow...
  14. Weird... I didn't apply to Midwifery/FNP, just midwifery. I've been checking my portal and this just popped up today.
  15. There's something new on my application portal. It's called "Student Request Form" and it says it's required. It asks me for my name, email, date of birth, and my current program. Does anybody else have this on their application?
  16. Does anyone know if you HAVE to have your BSN at the time of submission? I am graduating with my non-nursing BSN in May 2018. Am I still eligible to apply?
  17. 73rd percentile reading, 51 quant, and 60 writing are common GRE scores.
  18. Hey everyone, just submitted my application for CNM prespecialty recently. Can't wait to hear back!!
