Is anyone else is intending or considering Hopkins for the 13.5 month program staring in June 2006?

Hi all, I applied to UCSF MEPN - Adult care and recieved my rejection letter last weekend on Saturday. : ( It's okay though, I am going to go to Johns Hopkins and am excited about moving out of the bay area (it is a great place but I grew up here so a change will be nice.) Anyone know others who are going into the Acc. prgm. at JHU starting in June? Good luck to all of you!

I know you didn't ask me, but I think you should go ahead and ask -- it really can't hurt and it won't make them change any decisions they have or will make. You are just an enthusiastic student eager to find out. Ask! You'll feel better...even if they say you have to wait and find out until later!

Yes. I too have finals next week. Blah. I have extra motivation to get a B in microbio now that I have to in order to remain accepted to JHU. My yoga teacher translated "namaste" loosely as "My spirit salutes your spirit" -- I liked that and think of it often throughout my day when I interact with other people. It reminds us that life isn't as superficial as our culture makes it out to be -- and that each of us has an invisible spirit that is the heart of our being. It rests inside and is not always in sync with our physical form or actions.

But Peachy, didn't you apply traditional? Maybe they've only notified accelerated program people. I think it is a great idea to call and ask on monday.

I did apply early decision and just found out I got in! I've just got to pass microbio with a B. (This shouldn't be a problem but I am driven by anxiety so of course it makes me a little nervous.) I am from California. Grew up in Berkeley, now I live in Oakland (where I've been doing prerequisites at community college) and I have an undergrad BA from UCLA. How about you? I've never been to Baltimore but am thinking it might be time to plan a trip! Best of luck! How long is the traditional program? Cheers!
