  1. Thank you so much for posting this topic. I too am going through this right now and am the youngest member by 7 years at the age of 23. i'm starting to self doubt everything i felt confident about.
  2. All, i heard back from HCA today to set up a second interview bug I have already accepted a position at Memorial Hermann so don’t lose hope looks like places are still contacting
  3. Did you get the job? which location? ?
  4. I received my verbal after i left match day, and my offer last monday via email. what unit will you be in?
  5. Personally, i felt texas childrens and memorial hermann were the best organized in my own experience with interviews. I have friends who work at st lukes and love it as well.
  6. I'm not going to working the MH TMC but for the woodlands, i got mine over a week ago. I'd email the recruiter if you still haven't gotten anything, the med center had the most applications and I'm sure its just taking them awhile longer. some of of the girls in my cohort got their paperwork yesterday for the medical center positions at MH
  7. Did you get hired at the woodlands? I did and wanted to see if anyone else on here did.
  8. Bit of advice, dont rush out and buy ALL recommended books, check with current students willing to sell to you cheaply if same one being used, and make sure instructor even requires what it says is required, i saved 1000 on books doing this for this spring semester. Hoping this helps some of you :)

  10. I'm currently in the program and i've seen some post about schedules, etc. for me, i am busy 7 days a week. class monday, wednesday thursday. i have tuesdays off sort of, half of the day is the lab. i have my clinicals on saturday in houston 6-6 and i live in galveston. if they do you guys like they did us you will not get to preference your clinical location or dates, you just get what you get. Friday is a day off, but you dont really get it off either, there is always something you have to be tested for, etc. i do not know of anyone in the program that is working even one day a week. the program is difficult and even the time off, you will need it to study. a 75 is the new D. a 70 is considered failing. just so you guys have a heads up. i do not regret living in galveston since i'm so close to the school and library, if that helps anyone debating on commuting or not. plus, when you get an hour or two to be able to go to dinner with classmates after tests, it helps. feel free to message me if anyone has anything they'd like to know :)
  11. @ngockiele check your PM's i sent you something.
  12. @onepath91 thanks for the reply. about 30 minutes after I posted this I got my student guide and email :)
  13. Good luck @sunrise89 :)
  14. @samfreeman check your emails I got mine today
  15. does anyone know if there is a facebook page set up for those of us accepted? yes, i could read through the thread to figure it out, but it will take forever on my phone so if anyone knows that would be helpful :)
  16. Thanks @onepath91 :)
  17. @alkrn Same here! Mine must have changed today also. What a relief the wait is over.
  18. @bam173 glad you called, i interviewed also on that day and was wondering. they told me in my interview that it would be most likely up to a month or so until we hear back. so that now makes sense.
  19. @jules81 (or anyone else who may know) I had my interview today and an hour later my mystar changed with my todo list showing what I have left to take. is this significant in any way?
  20. Would this affect who is conducting interviews this week? Mines today
  21. I'm also going August 24th :)
  22. @bpalomo I also submitted mine at the end of the day May 31st, so I'm unsure actual submittal date matters, as I have 3 friends who applied long before me and haven't heard anything yet.
  23. Just to throw my 2 cents out there also...My overall GPA is a 3.7, Science 3.5 and my teas was a 86.7% and I attend a Tier 1 University. I think they take everything into consideration, including all shadowing, a job and volunteer work and organizations as well your personal statement. I just received my email yesterday for an interview. some of the threads last year, although a different applicant pool of course...if you read the spring of 2017 it will give you some kind of idea based on stats who was contacted when along the way. But as others have said, some with higher and lower each round have received interviews. Good luck! :)
  24. I reapplied then the very day I did I got my interview request, but the 30.00 was worth it just in case.
  25. Forgot to update earlier :) got my interview email today
