Endorsement
The Veterans Affairs hospital accepts PR Nurses and they do not have to take the NCLEX. Apply at the VA. What part of Texas? I work at the Temple Texas VA and we have a lot of PR nurses. I'm pretty sure it's at the VA's everywhere. Hope this helps.

CNA Work As A LPN
The CLC isn't like that. A RN will be the Charge nurse, doing admissions, and answering the phones(calling the doctors). You will not have that many patients assigned to you.
-
CNA Work As A LPN
What do you consider CNA? Patient care is everybody's responsibility and it's a part of the nurse's duties. Sometimes you will not have an CNA.

Days with Rotation? Community Living Center Department of Veterans Affairs
You can tell them you won't be able to accept the position. Once I finish my RN program. I'm going back to the CLC. I enjoyed my time there. No more than 10 patients to take care of and a ton of experience. My unit was considered rehab/ sub acute care.

Preparing for TEAS Michigan
I didn't take the TEAS for my vocational nirsingprogram but I did study with the help of Khan academy. I was 41 years old when I completed my program. Now I have to get ready for a TEAS and HESI, I'm thinking about using Khan again before applying to all the RN programs I have in mind. I have a sister would is studying for the TEAS for Dorsey in Saginaw for August and she's well over 40. Good luck, you'll do well.
