  1. NO WAY! I toiled and labored for that dreaded exam without any leakage and you came, prance around and easily preach to tell me to REPEAT it? Hell! Only fools will take that advise. If you want to retake it, go ahead... and no one will keep you from doing that. Yeah, it is true! I can smell sour grapes in this thread. If you did not pass, well, may be you did not do your best. But please, I beg you, get that fox personality out of your system. This is the reason why nursing practice in the Philippines is killing the profession itself. Had it not been for those ***** BON who spilled the leakage, my license could have been untainted. I hate them for that. As long as I am pretty sure that I took the exam earnestly, honestly and with integrity... I WILL NEVER HAVE RETAKE AS AN OPTION!
  2. Hi there nei_ph! I guess we have the same plans. I had just passed also the local boards last June and I am now on my way of processing my application for the California Licensure Exam. I had just my fingerprint done at NBI Recto last Friday and I will be going to my school tomorrow for the transcript, etc. I think we just leave the Social Security Number blank. That was the advice of my friend who had just passed the NCLEX RN California taken in HK. I am also planning of working as a nurse now but as Lawrence told us, I have to rethink about this matter. By the way, I am working as a medical transcriptionist for 2 years now and I am pretty much worried of the low-salaries that Filipino nurses are earning now. I am wishing all the lucks for us both.
  3. Honestly, I am already a veterinarian before it dawned on me that I wanted to become a nurse. I have been treating sick animals, dog, cats, birds of these affluent people. But every time I see those sick people on the suburbs, those mentally unhealthy man on the street and those poor women in labor without money to pay the bills, I started to think about the importance of human life (compared to the sick animals that I treat). So, I took a the nursing path and fortunately, passed the recent local board examination here in the Philippines. Now, that I am already a nurse, I can now help those people in need but still not leaving those sick animals around.
