  1. Im a new grad nurse and been orienting for only three weeks now and I already made a huge med error. I accidentally gave heparin 5000u subcu as an IV push. I quickly realized my mistake and told the charge and called the doctor. When lab came back a few hours later his PTT was a little high but his PT/ INR were both normal. By the end of shift his lab came back again and PTT/PT/INR were all normal, but I'm still so scared. I checked the patient every hour to make sure he wasnt bleeding from his iv site or anywhere. The nurses kept telling me Heparin should clear out of the pt in two hours and it will be fine, but it's still pretty traumatizing. I can't believe I made such a dumb mistake. I have to go to work tomorrow again and I'm so scared I'm going to lose my job.
  2. How long was the panel interview?
  3. What kind of questions did they ask you during the interview?
  4. Just curious if anyone has gone through the new grad program at Redlands community hospital? What was it like? What kind of interview questions did they ask you?
  5. Uworld was harder than nclex.
  6. I just found out I passed the nclex!!!! :,D
  7. Uworld is definitely really hard! My scores ranged from high 40's to 60's with a couple 70's. It made me feel like I wasn't prepared for the nclex at all. For the self assessment test I got "very high" chance. I don't think you'll ever feel ready to take the test. You just have to believe in yourself and go for it. You've been studying the material and preparing yourself since nursing school, you already know all this stuff. You can do it!!
  8. I used ATI but I have to say Uworld helped prepare me so much. The layout and content is very similar to the actual nclex exams. The Nclex was hard, but it was definitely a lot easier than Uworld!
  9. I got " your records indicate...... blah blah blah". I've been refreshing the breeze website for my name but nothing as of yet. I dont think they update their website on weekends, especially since tomorrow is a holiday I might just have to wait a bit longer
  10. I felt like about 85% of my questions were prioritizations. What helped me the most with answering those was Uworld. I found uworld is a lot more difficult than actual NCLEX
  11. I live in California and took the RN nclex on Friday. To my surprise the computer stopped at 75. My heart dropped and I walked out thinking I failed for sure. I did the Pearson trick right away in my car, then when I got home, after dinner, and finally 24 hours after. And all four times I got the good pop up. How long do you think it will take for me to get my results? Especially because Monday is a holiday. Do you think that will delay my results?
