Sorry that happened to you. However, while you don't know what nursing school will e like do be prepared. I did go to one- 10 years ago with the bully culture, you just have to survice. Completely different experience getting my BSN. School was wonderful and supportive of undergrad and continuing student nurses. Just depend on who is running the school.
I went from hospital to home health and I will tell you once you get into the hospital you will be ok. My skills and knowlege base grew a lot in home health just because I was on my own and had to figure it out. Keep trying, your home health experience will transfer well to the hospital.
I had that happen to me a few years back, not as bad as this person. But I still have symptoms. I get the flu shot in the other arm only, and make them go low and tell anyone giving me the shot what happened . It stinks...
In California $150k is easy to do but it is expensive to live. I live in Sacramento area and all nurses working for my employer make $150 or over thanks to the nurses union.
I started nursing school when I was 40. I was not even close to the oldest in my class. I'm 51 now have had a great experience. Nursing was a second career for me, has worked out great. So, go for it!
