  1. Hello. Any luck of applying and getting accepted in another program? I was too got dismissed from my program after 5 semesters. I did good academically but was, I believe, “targeted” after having a bad day at a clinical. My professors pretty much gave me a hard time after that. It’s like a witchhunt. I am over being let go from my program but still thinking if it’s worth another chance to go back to school. Thanks a lot.
  2. I am not in anyway discouraging you from going back to CRNA school, but your chances of getting admitted to another school is very limited. Also, even if you get admitted, the program director/professors are going to watch you like a hawk. I also failed CRNA school, not because of failing an exam but because of a failing a clinical. Clinical eval are a huge part of your grade and are very subjective (my professors chose to believe my preceptors instead of me). Basically I got in trouble for things my preceptors said versus what really happened. This can happen to you too, especially that you'll be watched like a hawk. just my two cents.
  3. Hello. I feel for you. I have the same experience in my program. I am just curious- are you a minority? This tends to happen to minorities a lot.
  4. Thanks Dude, I really appreciate it. Part of me thinks that way, and the other half to quit. I’m thinking about the additional loans I will incur if I stay. Currently over 100k in debt. I know that will be so easy to pay if I graduate. I know it’ll be so difficult to pay that amount if I stay and get dismissed later. I don’t know. Just things that I am considering. But I appreciate your input.
  5. Not close. I’m in the 5th of 9 semesters .
  6. Hello. I know this is an old thread, but still very relevant. I am thinking of quitting my CRNA program. Ive come to the realization that I am not a CRNA material. I hate the *ullsh*t and the drama..MY school is also not supportive of students whenever we get bad evaluations from preceptors (instead they make me/us feel like crap even more). What did you end up doing after nurse anesthesia school? Just trying to figure out what I am going to do in the next months after I quit. Thanks a lot.
  7. They emailed me, and sent a link where I can schedule my interview.
  8. Got my interview invite yesterday. Question for you guys - does anyone know how many people are they taking? what's their class size? Thanks
  9. Thanks. I emailed the director and he responded that they are still looking at some applications and I may not hear back until after the holiday. I hope that is not a bad thing, although it looks rather bad at this point. Hopefully I would still get in eventually.
  10. BTW, when did you interview? thanks a lot
  11. Hello. Thank you for responding. Congratulations to you!!
  12. Is there anyone out there who applied and got interviewed at Old Dominion ODU Nurse Anesthesia Program to start in the Summer 2018? Have you heard from them in regards to their decision? They said successful applicants should hear from them before Thanksgiving but I still have not heard. Thanks so much.
  13. So, I interviewed last Friday as well. I asked both interviewers as to when applicants can expect to hear about admissions/acceptance. Both of them did not really give me a direct answer since they have to interview other applicants as well. They may(?) offer early admission to some who they think is really a good fit for the program (like in the next week or so). BUT, if you don't hear from them in the next few weeks, it does not mean you're not accepted. It just means they are still in the process of interviewing and going through other applications. Hope this helps.
  14. Hello guys, Not sure if anyone has experience on this. I am currently on the waitlist for this year (2017), and I want to find out what is the likelihood that I will be offered admission eventually. I know there is really no concrete answer to this question, but if anyone has any any feedback, I will appreciate it. thanks
