Hello, It's been a while since I've been online because I was studying like crazy and I'm proud to share I passed the NCLEX! I tested Friday, Jun 16th at 2:00 in New Orleans and received my results Monday, June 19th after paying the $7 fee for quick results. I couldn't wait to share the news and I also decided to accept a job offer at the New Orleans UMC , which is a Level 1 hospital in my dream location ICU! This hospital is a teaching facility that opened last year and has amazing technology, so I'll get the opportunity to learn on the latest equipment and in a 21st century facility. God truly blessed me and although I won't be moving to Atlanta right now, I'm praying after getting a year of experience I'll be fortunate to get an offer at Piedmont next year. I'm cheering everyone on that hasn't taken their exam yet. Good luck, I started my new job this week and have no doubt we will all be great compassionate RNs soon!!!

Hello everyone, Do you have any information about the New Grad Residency at UMC in New Orleans? I received a job offer and interested in knowing if anyone else accepted a position there or other hospitals in ICU or ED. Congrats to all of us for finishing nursing school, a huge accomplishment! I didn't see any posts for 2017 graduates

Hi, I've been away on a cruise to Jamaica but now back to the real world and will begin studying like crazy for NCLEX. Yes, I did get to speak with the HR person who informed me all the ICU spots were filled but ask if I was interested in s position in Med-Surg. I've been offered a position in New Orleans at a Trauma1 hospital in ICU (an offer to food to turn down), which I've decided to accept that pays like Piedmont. It's my ultimate goal to work a year in New Orleans, in hopes of relocating to Atlanta (which is my dream location to be near my family) then work for Piedmont Atlanta in their ICU. My sincere prayer is for everyone to get offers where they desire! Best of luck to all of us nurses, graduation for me is May 21st! Thank God for getting us to this point!!!!

Congrats! Yes, it was a panel. They asked, strengths and weakness questions, scenario based questiiibs, and it was an extremely pleasant interview they made feel very comfortable. In fact, they asked me if I was willing to go downtown to meet with another Director of Nursing at AMC. Good luck to you and keep us updated. Praying and studying for my exit exam Tuesday, please pray for me as I will be praying for everyone in the same situation.

I'm finishing my last semester of nursing school, so I have no idea about about WellStar AMC.

I'll be at Atlanta Medical Center in the ICU.

What does NGHS I haven't heard of that hospital?

Congrats on your job offer! I interviewed but didn't get an offer at Emory but did get accept one of two offers from WellStar for an ICU position in their residency program. Best of luck to everyone.

Congrats! I actually only listed Kennestone on my application but during the interviews they ask if I'd consider AMC, so I went and met with the Director of Nursing. The hospital is very old but I like the fact it's a feeder hospital for Grady the only Trauma 1, so I'm hopeful of gaining excellent experience in ICU.

Hello, I'm starting a thread to determine who received a job offer at AMC and when you'll be starting, as well where you'll be working. I accepted an offer in ICU and looking forward to beginning my nursing career. I look forward to hearing from anyone about your experience. Are you going to AMC, if so I'm very excited to hear this news? Do you live in GA or are you relocating like me? Sorry for all the questions but you would be the first person I've heard going to AMC. I've got to get to class but will check in this evening. Congrats.....on the job offer!
