Professional Organizations

Hey all. I'm currently an FNP student and hope to be graduating in the summer of 2010. Just wondering what professoinal organizations you reccomend me joining. I'm currently a member of the ANA and the NYSNA. I would like to become more active in my professional organizations but don't want to join 20 organizations and not find fulfillment in them. Thanks in advance to all. :)

I joined AANP and actually was lucky enough to get a scholarship through them. Another one I'm a member of is ACNP which has great benefits if you are a member.

And don't forget your specialty organizations. I belong to ENA (emergency nurses association) and ISAPN (IL Society of Advanced Practice Nurses)

I belong to my state's nurse practitioner network, as well as my local network.
