*PREREQUISITES*

Published

I am going to sign up for a few prerequisites to start in March. In which order do y'all suggest I take these? I work full time and have two little ones at home! Though I know it will be difficult to get done, I don't want to completely overload myself and get discouraged because i can't get it done! Just needing some input on which order you'd take these if you were me. Also, would you take biology or chemistry? TIA!

  • Human growth and development
  • Introduction to Psychology
  • Anatomy and Physiology I
  • Anatomy and Physiology II
  • Basic science course: Biology or Chemistry
  • Composition and Rhetoric
  • Physiology

Chances are, some of those prerequisites are going to be prerequisites for the others. Usually, biology is required to take A&P. However, the best place to seek answers would be from your academic advisor, who knows the courses and what is required to be able to take further courses.

I'd recommend taking each science with an easy course. For example:

Fall:

  • Basic science course: Biology or Chemistry
  • Composition and Rhetoric

Spring:

  • Introduction to Psychology
  • Anatomy and Physiology I

Fall:

  • Human growth and development
  • Anatomy and Physiology II

Spring

  • Physiology (I'm guessing this is pathophysiology?)

I would take some classes during the summer, to speed up the process. Taking 2 years to take 7 classes is an awfully long time.

Yes that is my plan!

Thank you for your help!
