prerequisites for nursing

Hi I'm planning on taking prerequisites for nursing. I had took an interest toward nursing upon completing my associate degree. I decided to do an accelerated program after my non nursing bachelors. I took a chemistry class and kindve did really bad. I had to stop taking the class so it wouldn't drop my GPA for what impact it will have in the future considering its basically the last semester. It seems like I can't keep up and spend a lot of time in one area. I'm not going to take chemistry again but I took anatomy and physiology I while i was earning my associates and I really didn't feel like I did well in that either although I passed I plan to take the 2nd part next semester if everything goes well but I wonder if I can make it based on these experiences. Although I took other classes with them. Would it be better if I took 1 at a time? It seems like its really difficult with math and science terminology, I don't know because I never went to nursing school.

    So, you said you took the classes but did not think you did well. So, can you be more specific as to what grades you had earned for A&P I. As far as chemistry goes, did you have to take it? if so, no matter how hard it was the first time you took it, you will have to take it, eventually (I am guessing you dropped it, you were not clear on that). To answer your question, only you know what is best for you. Some people I have met and spoken to managed to take 12+ credits and got As in each of the courses. Some people I have met and spoken to took 1-2 courses at a time and completely bombed them. Like I said, you know better. If you feel not right at this moment, you either can wait till you feel right, or just take one class at a time, so you can devote a lot of time studying the class and Acing it. Finally, yes, math and science of nursing is challenging, no one said it would be a breeze. However, you cannot be a good nurse without a solid foundation in mathematical calculations and operations as well as profound knowledge of human anatomy. If you truly desire to become a nurse, study, study, study!!!

    Im just saying i take alot of classes that are no related. Like i took A&P but i also was taking history, intro to psychology and other electives. I think so many people was failing because of the level of difficult it was only reasonable i passed. Im gonna try to practice online while im finishing my current bachelors. Chemistry was alot to understand, this was my first time taking it so, overall its a requires class for entry into most nursing programs.
