WOW!! I've called Dallas, TX and OKC campuses-and they've referred me to the Tulsa campus-and all I want to know are the pre-req's needed to apply and enroll in the AS program. It's like talking to the Secret Service.
Can anyone provide info for me?! TIA!!

Platt College's LPN-to-RN program only requires that you have an Oklahoma LPN license. That's their only requirement for admission, other than a passing score on the NET Test. You were referred to the Tulsa campus because the Oklahoma City campus is on state-mandated warning status due to low NCLEX pass rates in 2007, 2008, and 2009. Since the Oklahoma City campus is on warning, they cannot admit new classes of students until the NCLEX pass rates significantly rise.
Thanks you -TheCommuter- for your response. No A&P I and II, no Pathophysiology, no English comp??? I'm not sure if I should be thrilled because I'm more curious than ever!! I bet the cost is way up there!!
The A&P, English, microbiology, nutrition, history, and other corequisite classes are rolled into the program if you have not already taken them at a community college or university. If you have taken some of these classes previously, they'll usually issue you credit for having taken the course and will give a small discount off the tuition. Last year it was $23,500. This year it might have increased substantially.
Thank you for thoroughly answering what I was wondering about. This sounds like an intense program for 13 months!! Are the courses BSN transferable? And I've noticed you're in Texas, TheCommuter. Do you have dual licensure-OK and TX?
