Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

I am taking basic classes at my college. The LPN programs has you studying anatomy and physiology and medical terminology. If I take these classes before applying to the LPN program, will I still have to study it once I'm accepted to the program? It says you may be eligible to obtain credit for previous coursework in those subjects. I'm trying to all I can to make it a little easier when I enter the LPN program.

Prerequisite coursework such as medical terminology and anatomy are the foundations upon which the rest of your nursing education will be built.

You'll need to know the material because every other nursing course you ever take (nursing fundamentals, med/surg, pediatrics, women's health, etc) will incorporate the medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Good luck to you.

It depends on your program. Private school may or may not accept coursework from other schools (that is why I waited a year to get accepted into another program). My school has an equilavency transfer guide for what is able to be transferred in. I took Math and Lifespan Development at another school and it transferred over with no problem.

OK thanks. There are no prereqs for the LPN program that I will be applying for. I know its not easy but I want to do what I can to lighten the load. :)

You very likely will, but it will be a lot easier for you and I highly advise doing it. A&P will serve you so so well, you can't over studying that.
