I will be graduating in may with an ADN degree. Does anyone have any good tips in preparing to take the boards? What are some good review books?

I found the Kaplan Nclex-RN exam book to be very helpful. It gives an overview of how CAT works, it tells you what kinds of questions to expect on the exam (what it does and doesn't test), it gives examples of the alternative questions you might get on the test, ***The part I found the MOST helpful was the section about Maslow's*** very helpful in prioritizing! It even tells you what happens next if you happen not to pass the test! In addition to that it has tons of practice questions and a CD that is set up just like the NCLEX! This book helped me because it explained everything so I wasn't shocked by anything when I got to the testing center.
I passed my first try.... so I think it's a good investment!

Therre are already many posts on this subject............... just do a search on this forum... :)
I only recommend Saunders, not another single one. They do the best explanation, plus they go over the wrong answers, as well as just giving you the correct. I use it for my students that are nursing graduates in other countries, where English was not their primary language and they pass the first time.

I like Saunders Q&A but for a good review book I like the NCLEX

I have this one and love it! I like the way it is organized and it's simple to read. It has drugs charts at the end of each chapter, labs, and diagnostic tests. It explains the labs and diagnostic tests, what you need to do pre and post. I really like it.
I think the review book you pick is personal. What feels comfortable for you and what you like. I thought Saunders comprehensive review the pages were cramed with info. The book I have doesn't cram information. It spreads the information out so it's not so bunched up. You may like that, but I don't.
There are so many books out there.

Hi: I see that you always promote Saunders. I was using the NCLEX 3000, then went to Barnes and Noble and got the newest version. It is great. But I test on May 19th and I'm trying to do my best to make the best use of my time and how much time to focus on system.
I have seen your recommendations for Saunders several times and I am glad I got the new book. I really like it.
