Hello Everyone! Is anyone in the process or thinking about doing the prelicensure program in Florida??? I've many other people commenting other states but I have rarely seen anyone from Florida. I know the program is recently starting up and not as competitive as the other states. But hopefully theirs more people in Florida thinking about doing this school also!

I started my enrollment process December 2014. I am currently going through the enrollment process in Florida. I am awaiting WGU's decision. My enrollment advisor said final selections should be determined by 5/5/15. My advisor called me about a month ago stating that the committee wanted to verify that I am willing to travel to Daytona where the clinicals are held.... I live in Fort Lauderdale so that's about 3.5 hours away. I told him I am positive and was well aware of that fact before starting the process. So I have been playing the waiting game. My process thus far has been great and my enrollment counselor has been awesome.

Finally, someone from Florida!! I am in Orlando and have also applied to WGU for the June 1st cohort in Daytona. I am a career-changer and also waiting on word on acceptance after 5/5. I am super nervous and excited! Hopefully more of us will reply to this thread so we can support each other in this process.

How are things going in the program? How do you like it?

I love it so far! Great mentor and class mentors offer support. I feel like I'm attending a brick and mortar university even though my work is at home. It is quite a lot of work as expected, but, because of all the resources available it is very doable. Finished Biochem and Dosage & Calc, currently working on Pharm and nutrition. When clinicals actually begin, I'll let you all know how it goes! Footejud, can you CLEP history?

dwilli3- My experience is identical to yours. Love, love, love WGU!!! WGU offers many resources and support communities. I am excited and low key nervous about Boot camp in September. All I know is failure is not an option.

WOW so nice to hear your feedbacks! I am considering to apply for August 2016 cohort. How do you guys like the program so far now that you guys might be in the clinical portion. I really wish you guys the best! Keep going!
