Preceptor for Distance Learner

Hi,

I'm new to Texas and am taking online classes through Indiana State University for my BSN. I need a preceptor in the Dallas/Grapevine area and am wondering if anyone knows how to go about finding one? I have contacted the local hospital but have not had any luck. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jen

For what kind of class?

I started out doing the ISU/college network but backed out because of the cost and I was scared I could not find a preceptor. I ask about this and they told me I needed to find one myself... thank ya . Anyway I called some places and was told no. I didnt figure I would have a problem since I was a licensed nurse already but I got no positive experiences. I do hear there is a association of preceptors that work for various places that work with distance learning students but I dont have the contact information. Good luck to you.... sorry I couldnt help more.
