Precautions for ? Scabies

A resident is being treated with permethrin cream and ivermection for ? scabies, staying in their room, gowns, gloves, head and shoe coverings....do they need to be on paper products for their meals?

Thx Esme It is hard being perdiem....we treated someone a few weeks ago, I was NM on and along with precautions, I asked for paper products......apparantly that was the wrong plan :( based on reports of the DON not being very happy .....have the funny feeling that if I had not, I still would have gotten an earful ......

I need to get to our policy manual and review it more closely did not have time that day for sure!
