Pre-Req Prices PBSC

Hello,

I have just completed my CNA course waiting to take my state exams.

I would like to get a ball park on the pre-req prices. Can anyone tell me how much per pre-req? I have a list of the classes to take. I understand the prices might vary, I know I need to buy the books, and they are expensive (even used) Just an estimate.

I need to sit down with an adviser at Palm Beach State College. Thanks in advance!

i attend a community college and i am considered 'out of district' because my county does not pay taxes to the community college. therefore, my cost is a little more than others. this past spring i took 12 hours (4 classes) and paid $252 in tuition, $252 in general fees, and $252 in out of district fees. as for books - i would have paid $350 for used books at the book store, but i rented my books from chegg.com for $180. (that little difference really helped!)

if i were you, i would look online and see if your school has their price per course listed. if you still have questions don't hesitate to call and speak with an advisor. that's what they are there for -- to answer questions!

best of luck!:D

Books. Used but still a current editions can save you up to half the cost of new. Old edition, used or not, can save you up to 90% the cost of new. Usually, the only difference is page numbers are off. Usually, an old edition doesn't make a bit of difference as long as you don't disrupt the class by making a fuss about having different page numbers.

I've been buying my text books for $5 to $20 each by getting two or three editions back. Since I get them that old, I've looked through the current editions on reserve in the library or resource rooms to check what the differences are. So far, I haven't found any significant differences.

This method doesn't work for lab manuals but they are relatively inexpensive. You might need a lab coat and googles for some of the lab classes, ask what they do with the ones that get left at the end of every term. I got mine for $5 that way.

Thank You. I'm sure you'll do well on your exam. I hope I get something like ROM and stuff. I am going to a community college and you are still pretty young. You'll do fine.
