Hey All! This is my first post in the discussion forums and I'm so excited to get feedback from my peers.
I'm making a career change to nursing and intend to enter a Master's Entry Nursing Program in a couple of years. In the meantime, I'm taking pre-requisite classes and trying to get experience to be a competitive candidate.
I've got two job offers on the table and I'm unsure which to take. The first is a research assistant job for a cardiac research project at a world-renowned hospital. The job is primarily data entry, but I would have a little direct patient contact and eventually a lot of phone contact with patients. This job is 8 hours/week to start and will eventually be 20 hours/week.
The second job is a front desk position for a cancer clinic at another world-renowned hospital in the area. This position would involve a high level of direct patient contact, but would likely be less challenging. This job is full-time.
Any thoughts on which you think might make for a more attractive grad school application?
Thank you!!!!

way to go:smiley_aa i think that is great
I think what would look good on a resume is probably the research job less hours but it will be impressive. The other job is good too but you may get bored. Though both are good opportunities for you its your decision
Good Luck :typing
Thanks for the feedback, iwillbnrn1day! I think I agree with you. I can always look for another part time job that has more direct patient contact.
Both are amazing opportunities, which is why it's so hard to choose! Thanks again for your input!
Lisa.

I agree, I think the research one would look better. You could always get your CNA cert and work as a part time CNA as well to get more patient contact.
