Pre-admission Testing

I'm hoping I'm posting to the right forum. Today I switch the focus of my nursing role from pre/recovery to pre-admission testing (PATs). Our small hospital has not had a specific person conducting PATs. This will be new to both me and my department. If any of you conduct PATs, what do you think this role should look like? What should it encompass? Anything I should or shouldn't include or do? Any advice would be helpful.!

Thanks,

Juliana

I'm also interviewing for a pre-admit position.  Based on the brief description I got it's something to do with checking patients' vitals, histories, allergies, conducting tests, etc. before surgery.  All very vague.  Would also be interested in finding out more about this role.
