Post Interview Stress

I understand your frustration! I had a interview on tuesday and the manager tells me that she wont be making a final decision till all the interviews are completed and the last one she is interviewing is near the end of the month, basically she says Ill know by July. In the meantime I want to give up my search and be sure of this is the one...but never know my search might not yet be over. =[ Everyday I keep thinking of a few of the blunders during the interview and ways I could of said things better. =/ Hate it....It didnt go horrible, just a few things took me a bit for me to understand what she was getting at. You never know what the lasting impression ways...ANYWAYS.

I dont want to give you the wrong advice, but I would wait it out a few more days, then maybe call the nurse recruiter or HR lady as you say and ask if she knows if the position was filled. If you have the nurse managers email you could email a thank you for the interview and slip in something about wanting to know if she has chosen someone for the spot...

Get a business card from the person that interviews you next or right down the name and send a thank you card after. Make sure to dress super professional and smile a lot and give a good solid hand shake. Show your enthusiasm. Best of luck! Also send a thank you card to the HR lady that has been working with you, if you don't get the job she will likely help you to interview for other positions and the HR people in the initial process are often forgot about. My HR lady was thrilled when I sent her a thank you card!

if you're calling the nurse director to follow up ur application after the interview, what's the appropriate words to say?

it's been 4month of job hunting since my license, send out many applications, few rejection letters, and majority no reply at all... just had one interview by the nurse director and i mess up...but im keeping my spirits up... i graduated 2009 RN with no experience... CA now has bad job economy for entry level nurses... (

I would just simply be courteous and tell her you are calling to follow up with her about the position. Theres no other way to put it really.

I know times are hard, I hope you find a job soon. Have you done anything to make yourself more marketable or to help you stand out of the crowd? I went and got ACLS certified and right now am doing an EKG course by the recommendation of the manager I just interviewed with and am thinking about paying to take a full critical care course if I can get some help with paying for it....=/ Those courses are not cheap! Today I checked my email and saw I got a reply back from the manager I interviewed with, she says that she enjoyed my interview too and I will hear back from her by the end of the month....so two more weeks! I hope this is a good sign.

i got bls and acls... i cannot afford other trainings as much as i wanted to...
