Possible relocation for Nurse Practitioner

U.S.A. Texas

Published

I am considering a potential job opportunity in the Dallas, Tx area. I currently live in TN. If any of you are from the Dallas/Fort Worth area and work as NP's, I would love to hear from you. Are NP's well respected and well received by both patients and physicians? Does Texas have a strong and well organized advanced practice organization? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am new NP in Dallas, but I find that the acceptance of NP's here in this area is fantastic. Salaries are quite high in comparison to other areas too because of demand. As far as restrictive - that depends a great deal on who you are working for and what kind of practice situation. My situation is a very collaborative cooperative type of situation but I did clinicals in places where it was of a more supervisory nature.

chek out http://www.texasnp.org for organizational information.
