Just wondering if cleaning poo off a shoe is a part of anyone else's job description? :chuckle Not resenting it really, it just makes me laugh! I guess because I am the "Keeper of the gloves", this task is bestowed upon me. Just wondering how to apply the nursing process in this case.
Assessment & Diagnoses: yep, that's poop.
Planning & Implementation: get the poop off.
Evaluation: no more poop!
I love my job! (Not being sarcastic here, I really do, poop and all!) I guess poopy shoes are better than poopy bottoms. I should be thankful.

Or how about a SOAP note:
S: "I got poop on my shoe!!"
O: Student c/o a brown, malodorous substance on his shoe.
A: The substance is, indeed, poop of unknown origin.
P: Issue pair of gloves and a handful of warm wet paper towels; instruct student in poop removal procedure.

Sounds like Dr. Seuss for nurses:
"Poo On A Shoe" !!
It gets even better! The teacher just sent another kid back with poo on the sleeve of her jacket. I put it into a plastic bag - let her mom deal with it! She sent another boy with her who had put his hand on her sleeve and "touched the poo". Um, since when is hand washing only the nurse's responsibility!?!
it's a virtual "poo zoo" there at your school !! haha :chuckle
