Please help me

First off, try to look at the interview as something fun. You are going to meet someone from whom you hope to get something, e.g., a job. Are you excited about the job you might get? If so, you can turn that into some enthusiasm for the interview.

I have the most fun when I don't particularly care whether I get the job or not--and often as not, I do get the job and it's neat.

I do think it is all a matter of attitude or, as I think of it, "personal mental marketing." Sometimes you have to sell it to yourself.

About strengths and weaknesses. I hate those questions too.

Try this--if you were going to interview you for the job for which you are interviewing, what would you hope to find, and what would you be willing to tolerate on this list of stuff you hope wouldn't be there? I mean, what would you most value in your applicant, and of the stuff you wish was not going to be a part of that person, what could you put up with--or even better, do you have a personal plan for how to deal with the thing that you don't particularly like?

Not sure if this is helpful. Maybe a little more about you and about the job you are interviewing for......

Thanks so much, but I am going to be interviewed for a nursing home job, it is very close to my home and is flexible for my 3 kids, I have never work before, so I have not a clue what to say.

Strengths...you have 3 children, you can probally do several things at once, organization...planning & implementation! Hard worker, eager to learn.

Weakness... New to the job market....but no stranger to work! New RN not a lot of experience, but ready, determined & willing to learn.

Hope this helps.....turn negatives into positives! You may not have held a public job, but you have worked.....running a house, budgets, rasing children.

My negative or "weakness" that I say at interview is always that I can sometimes need to be more tolerant of others with different expectations. I am a total perfectionist, and I get frustrated with others who are happy with "just ok". I try not to go overboard saying this, as I do not want them to think I am not a "team player".

Make sure whatever "weakness" you list, you give a solution to. For example, if time management is your weakness, say something like "I have realised over time that I sometimes need assistance to organize my time. These days, I write priority lists and seek feedback from my supervisor to check that my plan is reasonable".

Best of luck - I personally love interviews, you get to tell them "Why should I hire you?". THe most important thing is to believe that you will be a great asset to them, and try and explain why.
