I hope someone on these boards can help me or point me in the right direction. I am a non-traditional, full-time nursing student in my junior year. I just passed my boards over the summer and got my license to practice as an RN. I am researching the area of nurses with disabilities for a report and oral presentation that I will be compiling on this subject. My project requires that I speak to a nurse either with a disability or a nurse leader in the field of working with nurses who have disabilities. My question is this -- is there anyone on these boards who would be willing to give me a few minutes of their time so that I may ask them questions about what it is like to be a nurse with special needs or what it is like to be a nurse who advocates for nurses with disAbilities. I would imagine that even an email conversation would be sufficient in lieu of actual contact. If anyone has any information as to how I can converse with a nurse in this field, I would be forever grateful. I have gone onto the NOND website and have emailed a few contacts from that site, but my report is due in a few weeks and I really need to get this information. Thank you in advance for your help.
