To all Nurses around the world,
I have an Graduate Internship from this summer semester, I am working as a geriatric Nurse in Transition care Unit. Before I would start my internship there I suppose to tell the director what project I want to do during my 2 months internship. I have no idea what kind of project would be good for the patients.
Can you all please give me some idea? I am having problem with it,
I would really appreciate any ideas from you all,
Thank You in advance,

First things that come to mind are projects that will help reduce falls, reduce pressure ulcers, or reduce aspiration. These are just 3 issues that the elderly tend to face in greater numbers than younger patients. Maybe talk to the manager and see if any of these are things she thinks the unit would especially benefit from.

Are you in a Nursing program or non nursing masters program - If your program is not nursing I would focus on the social aspects of the geriatric population such as community resources or diet. Consult your program director for guidance since most programs your masters advisor has to approve of the project.
If you are in a nursing program, you have taken a nursing research course, I would apply the principles you learned in the course, starting with the theoretical concepts you are applying.
