Ok I may in need of some desperate help. I just had my second dosage test and as of right now I have one more chance to make 80% or higher. I studied my tail off for this test and I felt I only missed maybe 2 out of 20. Well aparently I missed more than I thought. I worked all the practice tests and I was getting all the answers right. I have no clue what I am doing wrong. And on top of the dosage test not going my way, I start clinicals next week. I am in need of some confidence because as of right now my confidence level is ZERO!!! All I do is study and I don't feel like its paying off. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

You sure are lucky with only having to get 80%. In my class we had to get 90% or better on our dosage tests. It was very hard, so I know what you are going through. I am not sure if this is the case or not, but if you are getting the correct answers in your workbook that you study from then you are doing something right. I know my teacher would mark an answer wrong on our tests if we didn't put tablets or mL at the end of our answer. Say if you got the answer 2 and left it like that you would get it wrong. You would have to indicate weather it was 2 tablets, 2mL and so on even if it said you were using tablets in the question. It was strange, but maybe that's what your teacher is doing perhaps?

Do you have access to your old test? Can you post a question you got wrong so we can see if we can throw some words of advice your way?

Go over your dose calc. test with your advisor. Find out what you did to miss the questions. Some things, like rounding or conversion errors are easily fixable. If you're getting the practice test questions right, there's reason to believe that getting the actual test questions right is within your reach.
