a typical day as a Nurse.

you can call your local hopsital and many times they will let you "shadow" a nurse. i did this and it was INVALUABLE! call the HR dept and tell them you are a student and that you'd liek to shadow a nurse. they will put you in touch with someone in a department you'd like to investigate (ER, OB, Med/Surg).

Also remember that not all nurses work in hospitals and a typical day (if there is one) will vary tremendously by setting. Since we all put in our time at a hospital in school at the very least though, it's a great start!
