Aug 30, 201312 yr Ha! I'm used to "pleasantly" as a descriptor for confused, but I definitely see that. I tend to sugar coat things though, trying to see the best in our patients.
Aug 31, 201312 yr Expert I've used "pleasantly psychotic" more times that I could count.I did use "pleasantly homicidal" in report once. Patient stated he wanted to kill me but he was very nice about it and promised to talk to me first. There was a lot of Axis II in there--he had a history of trying to get reactions out of staff and it was my first time working with him--so I wasn't alarmed. But I did document it and pass in on in report to CMA.
Yep, that's an appropriate descriptor in our line of work!!
