Pick my employer :)

Hi everyone,

Well, I think I may go back to working in a hospital, but I'm not sure which one. I've been a nurse since 1994 and worked in a variety of settings, but generally tried to avoid hospitals. The last time I worked in a hospital was 2006? and I worked M/S/Tele in a small community hospital (80 beds or so). Anyway, is this a bad time to even apply? Should I wait until fall? The closest hospitals appear to be West Valley (Abrazo), Banner Estrella (few openings), and possibly the facilities in Sun City. Maybe driving downtown isn't too much farther than Sun City, but I'm not positive. I live in Goodyear. Any recommendations or suggestions. I'm looking for decent ratios and either a per-diem or part-time position. My ACLS is expired, but I'm good with my med/surg skills since I worked in a prison infirmary after the hospital. Lots of IVs, TPN, PPN, etc. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apply at all of the above and see what develops! No, this isn't a bad time to be looking for a job. I have noticed that the Banner recruiters are very slow in getting back to you though. I think the recruiters are understaffed. :chuckle
