Why do you think that you may or may not be able to? What is the origin of this question?

I'm asking personally. If I had a PICC could you push those particular meds

Why wouldn't you be able to?

  • Author

I guess I'm asking if there are meds that can't be pushed via PICC

I'm not saying you could or couldn't. I was just wondering

Right, and we're just wondering why you're wondering. Are you a student, a nurse or a lay person? How did this get brought up?

I'm a student but I do work in a hospital. Inserting a PICC is a possible treatment option for a personal illness and I was just curious. Trying to weigh the pros and cons

You need to talk to your doctor then. Per the TOS we can't give out medical advice.

Yeah I understand that. It was just a question I came up with and I couldn't find a definitive answer on the internet so I thought what's the harm in asking. When I see my doctor again I will talk to him but I was just curious.

Good job asking, SionainnRN.

Because this is aimed for personal use rather than patient I am closing this thread as per the Terms of Service and medical advice
