Hi everyone,
I am trying to become PICC certified. I found two places that have the classes: PICC excellence and PICC resources. I would like to get some information from someone that is certified on which one is better, prices, and more importantly; if the investment is worthy. Also where can I work with this certification. In my hospital critical care doctors place the PICC lines. Any information will be appreciated. Thanks

Remember that there is truly no such thing as PICC CERTIFIED. One can become competent to place them, but true certification comes from authoritative bodies such as the ANCC or INCC.
In addition, try BARD. This company will come to your hospital setting and teach placement. I do not, however, know if they require a certain number of participants, or if a purchasing agreement will need to be signed first.

Omnicare offers a class, although not sure where you live so it may not be available there.
Omnicare does NOT offer PICC inertion classes.
I'm thinking of IV certification, sorry.
No biggie LeChien

Please do not use PICC resource, they are a shady money hungry company and they do not care about your learning. Before you sign up for anything take a good look at their website and brochure, if they are too cheap to advertise what do you think that means for the educational materials they are going to give you. Medicine is constantly being upgraded with technology trust me they are not what you are looking for. They are too expensive and unprofessional for what you need.
