I am looking for a certification class/ seminar on inserting picc lines in Pa. I was told by one of the IV nurses that work for the pharmacy company that my facility uses, that there is one in the allentown, Pa. area. Does anyone know anything about this? It is supposedly offered through a community college? I am interested in obtaining this certification, but having difficulty finding anything coming up on the search engine. Thanks, Tracy

I took my PICC line insertion certification in 9/00. The Clinical Education Manual was sponsored by a pharmaceutical company called BD Medical. This was in Kansas so Im mot sure if this will help or not. Here is a phone # and address.

Apria Healthcare was the sponsor (1-800-726-3481) This information may get you no where or it may provide you with the information you need. Good Luck.

Call Bard Medical....They make the groshong PICCS.....They do classes all over....You could probably host a class for them and they'll do it for free.....Especially if you use bard products.

contact the INS- Infusion Nurses Society- There is not a certification for PICC insertion-- you can take a class and be verified according to them-
there is a self-study program- http://www.PICCexcellence.com ----I saw on line-
