Hi Everyone!
I am a PCT in a hospital as I attend nursing school. We are expected to do blood draws and would like to take a class to strengthen my skills. I have contacted Ivy Tech but they don't have a class available this fall (only the externship).
Do you know of any classes I can take in Indianapolis?
Thanks for your help :)

I would really suggest spending some time in the lab or the ER to learn this.
There's no reason for you to spend time and $$ on a class. It's really just a matter of practice, practice and more practice.
(PS: I SUCK at phlebotomy- and have been a nurse for almost 40 years!)
Thank you so much for your advice! I will do that. PS, you probably rock at blood draws?

Nope- I suck. Oddly, I'm pretty good at IVs.
Stuff IN the vein? Got it! Stuff OUT of the vein? Not so much!
Haha, love it!

totally recommend what meanmaryjean suggested; its all about practice and oddly I suffer from a similar problem, I can start an IV no problem, but straight sticks are not frequently my friend.
